The Cooking Class

All Cal Carey and his friends want is to make the high school football team. Their dream takes a detour when they accidentally break a church window while practicing. When the minister decides that for compensation she wants a youth cooking class with a fun paranormal theme, Cal is horrified. Enter one Nikki Morganstein, who is as enthralled with the paranormal craze as Cal hates it. Loathing turns to love when Cal and Nikki meet. Alas, first love is complicated by Nikki's struggling with never knowing her father, her entire racial identity, as well as the ongoing tension between her beloved Jewish grandparents and Nikki's now evangelical mother. Small town antics take a frightening turn with a stunning act of violence. Will The Vampire Lover's Cookbook ever see the light of day?
